Some of the best liberal arts colleges can be found on the East coast. Maine is home to many great liberal arts colleges: they include Bates College, Bowdoin College and Colby College. These are all private colleges with around a 10 to 1 student/faculty ratio. This ratio allows professors to give students one-on-one time and answer all their students’ questions.
