Liberal Arts Colleges On the East Coast
Some of the best liberal arts colleges can be found on the East coast. Maine is home to many great liberal arts colleges: they include Bates College, Bowdoin College and Colby College. These are all private colleges with around a 10 to 1 student/faculty ratio. This ratio allows professors to give students one-on-one time and answer all their students’ questions. Courses are tough, and that is why these are some of the best liberal arts colleges on the East coast.
Other colleges include Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania. This is a private women’s college that has a strong academic program. Temple University, Lafayette College, Gettysburg College, Pennsylvania State University and the University of Pennsylvania are other colleges with strong liberal arts programs. Vassar College, Hamilton College, New York University, Excelsior College and Colgate University are all private liberal arts colleges found in New York. Davidson College, the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University at Raleigh are considered some of the best liberal arts colleges on the East coast. Finally, Miami Dade College, the University of South Florida, Florida State University and Florida International University are four public colleges with strong liberal arts curriculums.
