A unique component of Passport Scholars is the one-on-one mentor/mentee relationship. The Passport mentor is a community volunteer who gives her time to help her mentee prepare for her summer program. She provides friendship, support and encouragement in the months leading up to the experience, but the relationship does not end there. Mentors maintain contact with the girls throughout their remaining high school years providing guidance, direction and enrichment.
