The Passport Scholars Program matches 10th grade girls with
mentors and
summer programs in the United States and abroad. For many girls this may be their first experience away from home. Passport gives the girls an opportunity to step out of their environment and meet new challenges. Scholarships to summer programs open the door to new worlds through study, travel and adventure. The mentors not only guide the girls in preparing for their summer experience but also provide a deeper, immeasurable level of commitment. They work to help help the girls develop the conviction that they can achieve anything that they set their minds and hearts on.
The summer experience and the mentor’s encouragement lay a foundation upon which to build for college and for life. When the girls return from their summer program, Passport and the mentors will continue to provide ongoing support. College counseling and additional opportunities will be offered to the girls once they complete their summer programs.
