The College Access Center offers a friendly, low pressure environment where knowledgeable staff help both students and their families better understand the college admission process. We help students with a wide range of college admission tasks, including but not limited to the following:
- Researching college options to identify schools that would be good matches to a student's academic and personal goals
- Understanding standardized testing requirements and deadlines as well as locating test prep resources and requesting fee waivers
- Developing and editing college and scholarship essays
- Finding summer enrichment opportunities
- Communicating effectively with college admission offices and scholarship agencies
- Planning a high school curriculum that is challenging and that provides a wide range of postsecondary options
- And more . . .
While the staff provides these and other individual services to students and families at the center, our primary focus is programming in
schools.
