Money makes the world go round, yet there never seems to be enough of it going around.  You know how it is: when you do have a few extra bucks in your pocket, you spend them way too quickly.  And when you don't have enough money to go dancing with your friends, there's no worse feeling in the world.  So how do you manage both sides of the money coin?

Bargain Hunter
Why pay full price for something when you don't have to?  Bargains are literally everywhere - the trick is finding them.

Some smart tips

  • Buy in bulk, especially food.
  • Use coupons.
  • Buy generic brands.
  • Shop thrift stores and consignment shops. Try the ones in upscale neighborhoods for great bargains.
  • Sell your old clothes at consignment shops.
  • Watch for end-of-season and clearance sales.
  • Pack a lunch instead of eating out.
  • Buy used books.
  • Never make impulse purchases.  Shop with a list.  If an item is not on the list, don't buy it.
  • Don't shop when you're hungry.
  • Walk there.
  • And remember if you ever find yourself in a pinch, don't be afraid to call your parents and ask for help.
