Remember: You should be talking with your parents throughout this entire process! This calendar is designed to give you general direction regarding what happens, and when.
- Get off to a good start! Study hard and turn in all assignments.
- Sign up for Algebra I, if at all possible.
- Get to know your teachers.
- Meet with your guidance counselor.
- Read, read, read!
- Apply for a Social Security Number if you do not already have one.
- Take advantage of every opportunity to participate in enrichment activities.
- Develop, with your counselor, a four year plan for high school.
- Go over this plan with your Allied Health CAREERS teacher-advisor.
- Talk with friends and family about careers and possible college choices.
- Attend, with your parent, any financial planning or "how to afford college" programs offered at your school or in the community.
