Mentoring

The College Access Center has cultivated partnerships and connections with community organizations and will be happy to help your company or group find mentoring opportiunities that will not only benefit students but also enrich the lives of the adults who help them.  Some types of students with whom you might consider working include college-bound high school students, elementary or middle school students who would benefit from your encouragement to help them set high goals for themselves, or even college students seeking academic or professional mentors.  Read more...

We want you to be able to do your job well, so we'll tell you everything you need to know.  The extent of your training will vary depending on what volunteer opportunity you've chosen.

We Welcome Individual/Small Group Volunteers!

Volunteers help College Access Center programs succeed and reach out to more students . Our work is made possible by people like you.  Chattanooga school students need your help, no matter how limited your time or experience.

Some opportunities include advising college-bound students, promoting early college awareness among elementary or middle school students, helping families complete financial aid forms, helping with filing and data entry, and, of course, fundraising!

Do you have a particular expertise, such as technical skills; financial, tax or estate planning; publications; or fluency in a foreign language?  If so, let us know if you would like to help change students' lives!  Our contact information is at the bottom of this page.
